MGM introduces a fresh marketing campaign termed “Welcome to the Show,” emphasizing the diverse entertainment offerings at its casino destinations, beyond just gaming.
MGM Resorts International’s Chief Experience & Marketing Officer, Lilian Tomovich, recently explained that the research conducted by the company on the significance of entertainment in individuals’ lives yielded unsurprising results – it is indeed of great importance.
MGM Resorts has always prioritized the creation of unique experiences for its guests. The findings of this research further support our belief that entertainment plays a vital role in enhancing the human experience. These findings have inspired our new corporate marketing campaign, ‘Welcome to the Show.’ With our dedicated workforce of 78,000 employees spread across the globe, we are fully committed to astonishing and delighting our guests at every opportunity.
No shortage of entertainment options at MGM Springfield
MGM Springfield places a significant emphasis on providing entertainment, making it a crucial element. The eagerly anticipated Massachusetts casino is scheduled to commence operations in September.
Aside from the typical assortment of casino entertainment, MGM disclosed that the Springfield casino will encompass:
- A cinema
- Bowling alley
- Topgolf Swing Suite
Sarah Moore, vice-president of marketing and retail at MGM Springfield, expressed her enthusiasm for the partnership, stating that it complements their entertainment programming. However, she also mentioned that there are further developments in the pipeline. Moore emphasized that the partnership offers golf enthusiasts the opportunity to play golf throughout the year, eliminating their dependence on seasons and weather conditions.
The Topgolf venue in Massachusetts marks the state’s inaugural location. Furthermore, MGM Springfield will become the third MGM establishment to feature Topgolf, following the footsteps of MGM Grand in Las Vegas and MGM Detroit.
The MGM Springfield Topgolf experience
MGM stated that the Topgolf Swing Suite, spanning an area of 2,800 square feet, will include three simulators, a bar and lounge, and will have direct access from the property’s outdoor plaza.
According to a statement given to MassLive.com, a spokesperson for Topgolf provided a concise description of the Swing Suite.
The Topgolf Suite provides a comfortable lounge setting where guests can indulge in delicious food and beverages while immersing themselves in a social experience. Featuring a large screen and an array of thrilling virtual games, this unique simulation guarantees enjoyment for both golf enthusiasts and non-golfers.
MGM’s focus on entertainment
Following the tragedy at Mandalay Bay on October 1, MGM decided to postpone the complete rollout of the Welcome to the Show campaign, which initially premiered in late September.
The campaign aims to transform the company’s current image of being solely focused on hospitality and gaming into one centered around entertainment. It plans to achieve this by highlighting the vast range of entertainment experiences offered at the company’s 27 unique resort destinations.
In September, Jim Murren, the Chairman and CEO of MGM Resorts, expressed
“Our latest Welcome to the Show initiative is a grand gesture, intended to express our perspective to the global audience while unifying our extensive collection of resorts, ranging from the iconic Las Vegas Strip properties to those situated across the United States and beyond.”
